4. Fencing, Security and Location
- Our fencing and gates are 180cm in height, although this can vary slightly in places where the ground is uneven.
- The 2.5mm wire mesh features a small grid aperture of 5cm in width by 10cm in height and is also buried one foot in the ground to deter dogs digging out or wild animals digging in.
- We have designed our field with the security and welfare of all sizes of dogs, including the largest, smallest and most athletic, but if you have any doubts that the enclosure may not be suitable, then it is your responsibility to always ensure the security of your dog.
- The integrity of the fencing and gates are checked regularly, this includes us checking for holes and in the unlikely event that a wild animal or falling branch has made damage. As damage can occur at any time of the day, we kindly request that all users check that the field is safe and secure to their satisfaction before letting their dogs loose.
- Please report any issues with the field or equipment as soon as you are able on 01299 578600 or via email. This will enable us to make immediate repairs. If any breach means that your dog is no longer safe in the field, please leave immediately, let us know and we will reschedule your booking.
- Our field is located away from busy roads and benefits from beautiful views of Hartlebury and the Abberley Hills. There is a railway line that passes the bottom of the field and is no less than 10 meters away from the fencing perimeter. The frequency of passing trains may vary according to the time of day but is usually limited to no more than 4 trains per hour. If you dog(s) are likely to become distressed by the sound of a moving train then our field may not be suitable for you.
- Be careful as the ground may be uneven, wet and slippery. Appropriate footwear must be worn.
- Our field is embedded within the countryside and nature and as such it contains hazards similar to those you would find in a field or park. We make every effort to ensure that there are no highly toxic plants in the field, but dogs react differently to these things dependent on size, bread and individual genetics. The environment is not sterile and therefore we cannot accept any liability for humans or animals harmed by the natural environment.
- We operate and monitor CCTV for the safety and security of Perry Farm Dog Field.
